Weber created and executed global pre-launch, launch and post-launch public relations programs to support Zyprexa, an anti-psychotic drug for schizophrenia that today exceeds $4 billion in annual sales.
Pre-launch activities included publicity for clinical trial results reported at psychiatric congresses throughout the world, as well as for disease-awareness media coverage. To support global marketing, the firm organized successful journalist briefings in France to support the European introduction and in Argentina for the Latin American launch.
Weber also published Living with Schizophrenia, a quarterly magazine devoted to reporting achievements and challenges in improving quality of life for schizophrenia patients. Living was written for mental health practitioners, care givers, advocates, patients and family members. It reached a circulation of more than 80,000 with editions in four languages: English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
Weber also created and managed the Lilly Schizophrenia Reintegration Awards, a program designed to recognize outstanding achievements in fostering reintegration of schizophrenia patients into their local communities. Reintegration awards ceremonies were held in conjunction with psychiatric congresses in Amsterdam, Beijing, Jerusalem, Los Angeles, Santiago and Washington, DC.
